Active in Sydney during the late 1990's Transworldnoise led by Thierry Fossemalle aka Cottco Lovett was an experimental collective blending Grooves , Poetry , Improvisation and Composition enlisting a varied and diverse array of talents in the process.
At Sydney Venues such as The Strawberry Hills Hotel , Kinsellas and the Beach Road Hotel Bondi A regular live line up featuring , Calvin Welch , Michael Sheridan , Nick Hartley, Edwina Blush, Crucial D and Bruce Babs Clarke , performed much of this material aiming to fuse the electronic , improvised and groove elements into sonic collages and poetic outpourings .
Most of these tracks were initiated on either a Tacam 246 or 644 cassette 4 track recorder and then elaborated upon at either , Big Jesus Burger , or Spin Studio , in Sydney.
Tracks 8 and 11 are the only ones that have digital sampling of any kind , that being an Akai 950 operated by Pete Hemsley . All other sound bytes are manually played in real time on a Dictaphone, by myself or on Turntable by Crucial D
A 606 drum machine driven through basic effects gives the overall rhythmic map(again ....in real time ) for all other song beds , with drums kit performed by Calvin Welch or Greg Tailby ,where added .
This body of work was originally released in 1999 through MGM to a moderate but favourable reception . A partly completed follow-up Album , elaborating on these principles and featuring a wider personnel pool may at some stage become available , but at the time (1999)was hamstrung by unforeseeable circumstances ,sudden employment , domestic and health meltdown.
